Abdirahman Ismail Abdi, 33, fled the United States and was tracked through Canada before his arrest July 2 in the United Kingdom, where he is currently pending extradition back to the U.S., according to police. Court documents show Abdi had engineered three wire transfers totaling more than $9 million from the company's accounts to an account in Qatar. The accounts were frozen and the money returned to the water company, according to court papers.
